About
I'm Byron Myers — a network engineer and builder focused on datacenter infrastructure, network automation, and making complex systems observable.
Currently building a datacenter intelligence platform that ingests network telemetry (NetFlow, gNMI, SNMP, Redfish), correlates events across data sources, and surfaces insights through an AI-powered interface. The stack is Go, Next.js, ClickHouse, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
What I Work On
- Network engineering — BGP, CLOS fabrics, eBGP unnumbered, network segmentation
- Infrastructure tooling — collectors, pollers, agents, all in Go
- Observability — telemetry pipelines, ClickHouse analytics, OpenTelemetry
- Automation — Containerlab, gNMI, NETCONF, infrastructure as code
This Blog
I write about things I'm building and problems I'm solving. Posts are technical and practical — focused on what actually works in production rather than theory. Starred posts (★) are ones I think are particularly useful.
